As I felt the cool air rushing against my face, I look back. Running down the halls of the palace, I knew I was royally fucked. Being chased by the one person who had wanted to end me since birth, I felt the adrenaline rush. That's when I heard it, the gunshot. And I knew I'd met my fate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Faith Marshall was raised to be a fighter. Trained to be an assassin. She had to be fearless and merciless. All of the training was for the one moment in time where she would prove she was good enough to be crowned 'Best Assassin' under her fathers name. She couldn't escape what her father had put her up to, it was her fate. He was her fate. Declan Russo was thrown into the ruthless life his father had left him in at the ripe age of 16. His father was murdered by the one and only Faith Marshall. She had been looking for Declan himself but so happened to trip and fall, 'accidentally' beheading his father. Declan was looking for revenge. After 10 years of chasing dead ends, Declan stops looking. What he doesn't know is that she was under his nose the whole time. Running after each other without knowing what the other looks like, they try to please their own fathers. Declan wanted to avenge his father and Faith wanting to succeed at the only thing her father has ever asked of her.

I would never admit this to anyone for as long as I lived, and I was going to hell for thinking it, but Theo Romano was hot when he was angry. It wasn't until I finished my dramatic speech did I notice he was standing a few inches from me. I could smell his intoxicating cologne, and I had to hold back every bone in my body that told me to jump him. I'd really done it now. I had pissed off the underboss, and I wasn't even officially hired yet. ***** Amelia Monet had built an empire for herself. To be fair, there was never a shortage of jobs for an assassin. Leaving quickly from a job Amelia walked past a bar that caught her eye. If she had known how much her life would change after that night would she still have walked through those doors? She still couldn't answer that question. That night became the first time she met Theo Romano, heir to the Italian Mafia, and unfortunately for Amelia it wouldn't be the last. ***** This book is considered mature. I don't want to upset anyone. This is the warning to potential triggers of murder, suicide, abuse, and adult themes.
