One of the world's oldest sea animals, squids and octopuses, were one of the dominant species in the oceans thousands and thousands of years ago.
Now, with the world changing before them, they had to transform along with the world and become the new dominant species on land.
This new type of dominant species is known as "Inklings" and "Octolings", descendants of the squids and octopuses.

As with the new ability to live on land, they had lost the ability that their species has always had.
The ability live in the place where they were before, thousands of years before.

But only a small amount of specific species retained the ability to be in the water.
And one of them, an Ocean Squid.
They have discovered the ones above the water and wanted to see if it was worth it being on the surface.

So they do just that.
They leave the home they stayed behind in and goes to the new home that many other species have moved to.
