Cora escaped her dismal life in Boston as soon as she turned 18.

She's lucky to find cheap accommodation at a colonial era hostel in Salem, and she thinks she finally has a chance at a new life.

However, Cora quickly comes to realize that Grimell House is harboring something she wants no part of. There are voices at night only she can hear, footsteps that seem to belong to no one, and two secretive sisters who aren't telling her something.

Soon, she's wracked by nightmares of something old and wrong and hungry.

Reality, past, present, and future begin to overlap and intertwine.

Something bad is happening in Grimell House, and Cora must get out.
