Joseph, a boy struggling internally in a decision to tell his family (and maybe the rest of his world) about his sexuality is keeping a deep secret he's kept since he was first attracted to anyone. While he struggles inwardly, another battle is occurring outwardly, too; a group of boys are making his life a living hell. He's been hospitalized too many times to count.
Things begin to look up as he meets another boy, Zeke, who happens to accept him for who he is. But it's short-lived as not only himself, but his friends, are put at risk by a few hateful kids. High school bullying really is a big deal.
