The feeling of being watched washed over me heavily again, I found my tolerance of the pain wearing quickly, along with my control of my temper.
"Anyone there?" I shouted, wincing slightly as I tripped over the curb on the pavement.
There was a long string of silence, before I heard faint footsteps. The pain was too much to deal with, so gradually I felt my senses starting to blur, I couldn't tell from what direction the footsteps were coming from. All I knew is I could hear the echoes vibrate off the walls into my ears.
"I've got her. Yes, I'll bring her in now. The Illuminati aren't here yet, no, sir we'll be gone before they can track us. She's in the middle of transition. Okay, bye." I turned, quickly but nothing but the empty road stood behind me. Suddenly a hand was clamped around my throat and my waist was held tightly against somebody else's.
"Who are you?" I groaned, trying to wriggle free, my captors hold tightened rapidly and I felt the air being cut from my wind pipe.
"Stop talking, you're weak. I'm going to let you go, you will do as I say, and you won't get hurt, understood?" The deep voice filled my ears gently, the faint Irish twang to his accent barely noticeable. I nodded, and he let me go, I breathed in the cold air deeply and clutched onto the pulse in the centre of my chest. I turned around, coming face to face with my captor.
I could honestly say I was surprised, that he looked like what he did.
Dark hair, luminous violet eyes, and a strong build.
