Katerina Markova was an assassin trained in the Red Room and was used as a human experiment against her will. When she found out, she escapes and goes on the run to New York only to run into the avengers. 

Can she outrun the red room? 
  
Katerina's powers are: super soldier basics (increased speed and strength) and elemental manipulation 

This story is not set within a specific time frame of the movies 

Katerina's love interest will eventually be Steve Rogers
