Adrien Agreste is a famous model who's travelled to all the possible countries through out his entire life. He had to leave Paris for America after his father decided to, forcing him to give up his role as Chat Noir. Marinette on the other hand continued as Ladybug, going solo. Stress and school doesn't go well together for her.
One day Adrien decides to go back for a while because his father has got some business, and somehow he gets into a party with Nino.
Marinette had decided to go too to relax, not knowing that Adrien was there. Next morning she wakes up with him in her bed, what happened?

"It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that...
