"I don't wanna go." I said to Bails.
"Uh-uh, you promised." She said pulling me to my car.
"Why my car, and why do I have to drive?" I asked annoyed.
"Because, you promised to take me, meaning take me there and stay with me." She said triumphantly.
"Man... My promises suck ass sometimes." I said while face-palming myself.
While going to the driver's side of my black '98 Charger with a red pinstripe down the middle, I got to thinking, "What band are we going to see?" I said in my head.
Little did I know, going there was probably the most lovely of promises I ever made to my best friend. No joke.

"All ready?" My mom says cheerfully "Because you look ready to go." "All ready." I say before I look out the window. She starts up the truck and heads out of the driveway. Some time through the drive my mom starts small talk. "So, how are you?" She asks politely "Was it decent? Okay?" "It was" I kind of think it over before continuing "It was... Not the place for me. Kind of like trying to put the square block in the triangle hole. I didn't fit in. Always being yelled at, I suppose." "I see" My mom begins "I am sorry for not talking more to you. Life has been busy. But I am glad to see you making a change for the better. If that is or was in your mind." I just nod. "My life wasn't fair there." I open up about what has been happening. "It was always about my step siblings or step mom. Always expecting me to be there, when they weren't there for me. Being expected to drop everything even if they knew several months in advance. My step mom wasn't the parent I needed. And my dad didn't step in to stop it." My mom sighs, just nodding as she listens. I know I should have chosen to live with her. But all those years ago my dad wasn't dating anyone. But to be honest neither was my mom. I feel bad now choosing dad over her. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.
