Josilyn was born with a mark on the back of her neck, and because of that mark she has been treated like trash ever since she could remember. She has been living in the safety of the old lady,  Mrs. Herman's house, her mark hidden behind a scarf everyday. Josilyn has always been confused about why people treat her different and as the new school year approaches she meats a particularly  friendly girl but the name of Catherine. But like everything else in Josilyn's life, Catherine has some secrets.
