The Dark Forest
*Completed* With their kingdom is falling apart and in debt, Prince Roman and Prince Remus head out to the Dark Forest with hope that they will find the Heart of Life. With the Heart, they would be able to save their kingdoms crops and pull the kingdom out of the dark days. However, within a few days of traveling through the forest, they are attacked and lost in the forest, with only a servant and knight for company. The Wizard and The Serpent (A Beauty and the Beast/Sanders Sides AU)
Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. One day, a weak and homeless old man visits Janus, seeking shelter from the storm. Janus turns the man away, repulsed by his appearance, and as punishment, a curse is placed on Janus and his castle. Janus is turned into a monster, with six arms, claws, venomous fangs, and scales covering half of his body. The servants of the castle and all his guests were turned into furniture, as punishment for sitting by and doing nothing while the Prince grew into the cruel King he is today. However, there is a cure for the curse. If Janus can learn to truly love another and be loved in return, the curse will be cured. As the years went by, the castle and everyone in it became forgotten, and Janus lost hope. For who could ever love someone as cold and monstrous as him? Meanwhile, in a small village nearby, a Wizard named Logan Foster is looked down on by his town for his startling intelligence, difficulty in social situations, and his practices of magic. That doesn't deter Roman Prince from attempting to court Logan, however, because even if he is odd, Logan is the most handsome man in the village, and Roman has always enjoyed a challenge. Not wishing for his son to be alone, Patton Foster agrees to give Roman his blessing. Logan, who doesn't wish to get married, runs away from home. He plans to build a cabin in the forest and live the rest of his days there, but instead he finds a castle, where he is invited to stay as a guest. (Yes changing the captive part you're welcome) He isn't sure yet who the Castle's Master is, but based on the talking furniture that allowed him to stay here, he assumes it's a fellow Wizard. *Completed* After a near death experience, Roman can see strange things, things that don't make sense. Animals that died, strange creatures that roam about, and a strange hooded figure that seems so familiar. No one else can see these things, though these things can see them. They can affect them as well. Virgil hates cities, the bigger the city the more death there is, the more work he has to do. His job is to guide souls to the after life, or if they turn malevolent, cut them down. The moment he was assigned to a city, he already had a death to take care of. Except, it turned out to be a false alarm since the man survived. Virgil wouldn't have cared too much since it happens often, but now that man can see him and other spirits. The ships will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus I will display trigger warnings at the beginning for every chapter as needed, which will include death (human and animal), main character death (kinda? they just be a ghost, they're still in the story), possible gore, and cursing. Roman is in on it just to find his brother who was kick onto the island long ago but what he didn't expect was to fall in love. Janus 'Deceit' Sanders and Remus 'Duke' Sanders have been bestfriends since the split, though Janus acted as the responsible, adult one despite being the same age. Remus had always been vocal about his feelings until Virgil left, calling him too emotional. Janus had always been the one to lock his feelings and emotions away never really showing them. He did this ever since he was a child, wanting to show little weakness and to be strong for the others. These both came with major consequences, Remus often found it difficult to voice his feelings out without getting mad at himself or someone else for how he was feeling. Janus had to find other ways to cope with his feelings, mostly unhealthy. But what happens when these two dorks fall for each other? I'll tell you, mutual pinning and miscommunication, with tons of angst with some hurt/comfort fluff.
