Well, in 2200, that thought became a reality.
On the day of your 7th birthday, you go to a doctors. Once at the doctors, you receive a shot that puts you to sleep and during an 8 hour period, you get a glimpse of your future.
Every 7 year old has to do this.
Including Anna.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity.
