It's true it was here as humanity slowly evolved, but it was only here after the world was created. It can only morph reality by certain rules, and for some reason, is also compelled to serve humanity as best as it can.
○○●○ has developed feelings over time, by watching humanity. And as a result, it soon learned one of the worst feelings there are- loneliness.
Until that one fateful day, when a human it was interested in finally noticed its presence.
