A Dabi x reader story.

I knew it was the last dance, but his breath stole my heartbeat, why did I have to love him even though I knew I shouldn't?

We were inseparable, but something changed, even with the changes we stayed together. Because we were destined to meet, but not to be together.

Linked by the wind, they live together but do not belong, fearfully they touch but do not remain there. Destined to observe each other without coinciding with each other.

This story is mainly to show how I truly feel in certain life events, venting about it in a place where people can maybe relate to it sounds good.
So enjoy my existential crises as well as a nice dose of Dabi in a 85% accurate picture of him (I did my best but this man doesn't have feelings) 🧍🏻‍♀️🫄

"I thought about yesterday, how his smile flustered me, the way his emerald green eyes matched the grin. The image flashed in my mind causing my stomach to flutter and my chest tighten up. It honestly made sense. But I'd only known him for a few days. But honestly... I liked him. I really did. It made fucking sense. All of a sudden, I felt a scratching in my throat and a cough coming up. I let it out. But the tickling in the back of my throat didn't go away. I covered my mouth with my hand, hacking away. Then, I smelled something sweet. It smelled like flowers, roses to be exact. It was really odd but I shrugged it off, closing my eyes, coughing. Then, I coughed one last time and felt something come out of my mouth. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and opened my eyes. The sight in front of me practically made them bulge right of my head. A small pile of green rose petals sat in my hand."
