What happens when you don't shift? Wolves or other shifters there's no issues, you stay in the pack, but with dragons you're too weak to stay in the thunder, as part of the family so you get five minutes to get of the territory or get killed. You lose contacts with everyone. Friends, family, sisters, everyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, if your too weak, you need to leave.

Aesir's 16th birthday was meant to be the day he and his twin shifted. His twin shifted he didn't. So he did all that he could. He ran. Leaving behind his younger brother who looked up to him, his friends, his twin, his parents. Everyone he loved, everything he loved to live in the human world. 

After a life threatening rogue attack Aesir was left for dead. He was saved, found by a badly injured dragon looking for a meal. Aesir did his best to heal the dragon and they soon trusted each other. After Aesir fell ill the dragon took him somewhere safe. 

Aesir had made a promise to his little brother. To always be there for him. He couldn't really do that in this state. Two years later its his brothers turn to shift. After two years Aesir has bonded to the  dragon who saved him. Becoming the first dragon Shifter who didn't shift but also the first dragon rider in his family.

Can he survive the real world and protect all that he cares about or will his dad continue to hunt him down and kill him? 

(There is no need to read A Horse-Shifters Tale or Horses or Dragons and Wolves Oh My before this book, its part of the series but you can read it as a stand alone).

Son to Alpha Prescot and Luna Heather. He runs a pack where humans are breed like cattle and horses provide their income. With dreams and prophecies will these two learn that together isn't as bad as they think or will Chase follow in his dad's footsteps and kill her? First ten chapters by sparklydog9 the others are by me. Also a warning won't always be clean. So many of the characters swear. Thanks for taking the time to read. Finished but under a long edit and rewrite of several chapters. The plot won't be changing but simple mistakes like accidently changing eye colour or the spellings of names will be changed.
