Aly Miller has never been a very outgoing or super popular girl, she's never had a boyfriend in her life and despite the fact that her best friend is a part of the super popular group at school, she prefers keeping to herself, she'd much prefer to sit in the library reading a good romance novel to being out there, listening to the cheerleaders gossip, or watching the jocks make complete asses of themselves during lunch time at school. She likes to think that she runs a pretty good life, but every day, she can't help but hope that she'll find her Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet and show her what it's like to truly live.
Enter Donovan Gellar. The school's hottest bad boy. Make no mistake however, he's nothing like those cliched stereotypical bad boys in the books Aly reads. He's not a player, it's a miracle if anyone ever really sees him in the presence of girls, but he does have secrets of his own. After run in at a broadway musical, where Aly never thought she'd see Donovan in her life, he starts popping up everywhere, and won't seem to leave her alone. She can feel this strong connection between them, but she has no idea why, or what it is. However, as he begins showing her things she's never seen or making her feel things she's never felt before, Aly begins to question her definition of love. Maybe it's not a Charming Prince, maybe it's a fighter, someone strong enough that even when things get to be their worst, that person will never give up on you, or let you down. She can tell she's falling for this mysterious boy she met at a broadway show, but will she let things get that far, or will she once again close herself off from everyone? Sometimes in love it's just better when you don't let go.
