What would you do? If on the worst day you could possibly imagine, to find a man on the doorstep of your home claiming to be Cupid? Even worse you've been given a deadline to find your soulmate and your only clue to finding them is a watch.
Your only option is to find your other half or die trying.
For Clarissa Holmes it seems almost impossible, her disastrous love life is just one example of why this ideology of finding 'the one' is a myth.. At the staggering age of 30, she finds herself unmarried, no children and a small cat who is her only form of socialisation apart from work.
Cupid has given Clarissa 12 chances to find love, and only 6 months before the final chime of the old Victorian brown banded watch which will symbolise the final beat of Clarissa's heart before her last breath.
