You know what how about she just turned 19 and she doesn't know she's a witch and she and her aunt just moved on wolf territory, she doesn't even know about the supernatural world and then one night she gets lost and chased by a pack of rogues and saved by a werewolf and then she finds out that she is the Luna of one of the second strongest packs the Silver Moon pack and mated to the Alpha of said pack "happy now"

Once upon a time, there was a pretty young girl that had no clue that werewolves and vampires and what not existed. And then a werewolf bit her. But a werewolf can only ever have one mate at any given time, as Annabeth has learned. So one is real, and the other is faking it, to put it simply.
