Rival clans, Saxon Britons, and terrifying raiders threaten the safety of Tualla's clan and their Pagan way of life. By accepting a marriage proposal, Tualla believes that she is fulfilling the prophecy of bringing peace and security to her people.

When her village is attacked, Tualla barely escapes with her life. Forced to flee through enemy territory, she finds herself an unlikely ally.

Having lost everything she holds dear, will she accept her fate or make her own destiny?

This is my ONC 2021 entry using prompt 20- Born under a special star, you're destined to end a reign of terror. But now that you're an adult, you realise that's not who you want to be and that you have become the one responsible for the terror.
