Not wanting to be just another dead girl Beth asks Daryl to teach her how to survive in this new world. Working together he brings her to life and gives her the confidence she needs. She gives him love and a calm that he didn't know he needed. Together they balance each other with the light and the dark.
(My take on Beth if she had shown more sass early on. Personally I think her character could have been a great story to tell)
