Makeshift Wings

"This is not a kind tale, would you still like to hear it?"
The young child flapped his crimson wings in excitement and exclaimed "Yes!"
"Well then a long time ago, before you were born, the laws of the land were different. Men ruled over those who were adorned with feathers, called the Avarians. Treated like animals, they were forced to do the things men did not want to do. That is, until they rebelled, and this is the story of one girl who lived through that rebellion."

the pictures I used in the first chapters are basically what the Avarians look like. Bird feet and bird wings. Maybe I'll make some doodles of the characters later idk.
