The girl grinned at him with smug happiness as she leaned over, brushed a strand of (H/C) hair behind her ear, which revealed her delicate snowflake earrings and joked. "You know, it was getting lonely without you." 

The boy returned a blank stare as he stood speechless, still not believing she had actually followed him to a whole different country. Why was this craziness exactly something she would do? He chuckled internally, as amused as ever by the new Canadian transfer student .

You two had spent a good portion of your lives together, they meant so much to you, but then an illness caused your friend to be hospitalized, and eventually dying.
