The main character, Sage, is a high schooler who struggles with many mental health issues after her mom dies and her dad becomes abusive. She takes care of her younger sister, Piper, and is very aggressive to her peers as a way to protect herself. Along her journey, she meets a beautiful new girl named Luna. They fall in love, and then tragedy strikes.
