He threw open the door, his eyes shut tightly. He lowered himself to the floor in front of her, settling down on his knees and extending his arms outwards. The cold night air made Marinette shiver and cuddle into the red scarf that wrapped around her neck. She looked at the bright lights of Paris, of her city. A city of love. Chat Noir's one desire is to protect and assist his lady, even when it means putting his own life in jeopardy. Marinette's deepest fears come true when his ride or die sentiment leaves him cold at her feet. Ashamed and guilt-ridden, she turns her miraculous in to Master Fu and asks him to find someone else for the job, but something far more sinister is brewing, and with no LadyBug to come to the rescue, who will Paris, and more importantly, Chat Noir, turn to to save them in their time of need? Written over the course of only a few days, this is a short story that I don't plan on lengthening into a full length tale. I also don't plan on editing unless requested repeatedly.
