Aizawa does not approve of Ghost's actions on vigilantism. But he did not try and capture the vigilante either. For many reasons.
His main reason, Ghost was a child.
The other reason, Ghost has a habit of ghosting any hero he encounters. The pattern? All of the heroes have tried to capture him using their quirks one way or another. So no, Aizawa was not keen on hunting down children anytime soon. Even vigilante children.
He did not expect to adopt one though. He blames his bleeding heart.

The ghost of his past
Hitoshi Shinso was a regular, sleepy depressed orphan. He had no parents but he wasn't sad about it. He had finally got into the hero course, earlier than expected, all thanks to his mentor. Since he was little, he has always seen weird things. He always thought he had gone completely crazy. No wonder. He thought it was a hallucination something he came up with. Because no one else could see the things. He also doesn't have friends so he suspected that they were probably only imaginary friends. But unlike his human friends that left him when became four, the imaginary friends remained. There were no nice people he played with or anything. They were terrifying figures from roosing look. Shinko's Pursuit
With his dreams shattered and his future seeming to be lost, Izuku Midoriya runs. He ran away from police custody before they even knew what to do with him and lived off the streets. He didn't know what to do. His mother dead and his source of stability gone, he looses his will to anything but keep fighting. Most people would turn to villainy after this, always searching with vengeance and an anger that could never be tamed. But Izuku isn't most people. He couldn't bring himself to hurt people so he decided he'd be a hero, just not by title. His heart has always longed to save those in need, after all. Okay so it's a DADZAWA and an izuocha and Izuku's quirk's are erasure like his father and mental break he will have more, which is from a story called Vigilante Deku all credit goes to Lazy-Smartass_02. When Aizawa was out for food he remembered his first love Inko and that she had a kid and wondered if he will ever meet the kid. Aizawa then got an alert that a murderer has just killed a married couple he ran to the location only to see Inko with four stab wounds and Hisashi with eight bullet wounds he dropped to his knees and saw Izuku walk out of his room and Aizawa then took the kid home and checked his quirks and found out Izuku was his son.Complete
