So I know that Cole died for character change in Liam and Ruby, and for the readers to hate clancy way much more and all......but, Cole's death was one of the WORST heartbreaks I have every experienced in my life so far. I wanted to idk KILL, TORTURE, STRANGLE, STAB Clancy effing Gray. So i wrote a fanfic where he lives. I mean COLE not the asshole clancy. The fanfic starts when they gang are in the room and are talking to Liam, breaking the news to him. The characters do not belong to me, all rights go to Alexandra Braken

I close the door behind me and proceed to walk up the stairs and return back to my beloved bed. As I lay in my bed, I stare at the ceiling. 'Do something that gives you reason to come out.' Is that what he had said. he's right, and I had just the thing to do. I'd find Ellie's killer and make them pay. Bailey is just a normal teenage girl, never wished for things to be different, never wanted a more exciting life, but that's exactly what she gets when he best friend is murdered and the police don't seem to care. A fix-it story for those of you who couldn't handle Cole's death in the original series. (like me) Having the rarest of all power--the ability to heal--Sheena was subjected to the mercy of the scientists in Leda Corp Research Center, until a mysterious man saved her. The problem is, will she be able to save him in return? +++ Setting in the universe of The Darkest Minds, this is a story about an original character's journey of learning how to be brave, with the helps from some friends (also original characters). Some of the book characters would show up mostly in later parts of the story (except for one, who showed up as soon as the first chapter), and the story itself is tightly knitted to the events in The Darkest Minds book series, so one do need to read them in order to enjoy this. Also, even though I tried my best to not contradict the canon, there are still some fundamental elements in this story that has to go against the grain. (i.e. Cole's death) You might notice that the chapter titles are all Beatles songs, but I actually didn't put them there as a playlist; in other words, you don't have to listen to the title song while reading the chapter. Her mom had passed away from a stroke and she had no one to rely on but an untie that mom had said she should seek in case something happened. She needed to travel alone to her mom auntie's home, without any sort of companion. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.
