Andie had a pretty tough life, her dad had abandoned them when she was two. Her mom worked hard to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. But as time wears on, mom starts to physically abuse her.

One day her mother leaves for work but is never seen again by Andie. Left to fend for herself at the age of eight, Andie does her best to survive. Sadly, she ends up homeless through no fault of her own.

Tristan is a thirteen-year-old boy, whose parents are more worried about drinking their lives away than they are about the well-being of their son. Tristan becomes self-reliant at a young age and by a twist of fate, meets Andie.

Upon learning of the unfortunate circumstances Andie found herself in, Tristan comes to her rescue. He takes it upon himself to take Andie home with him and basically, raise her himself to keep her out of the foster care system.

As the years go by, Andie becomes in love with Tristan and prays that one day he will reciprocate her feelings, unfortunately for her Tristan sees her as a little sister. Will Tristan ever love Andie the way she loves him? Or will she be forced to move on?
