Everyone knows about the original family Freya, Finn, Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, and Henrik.  But only the family and a few packs know about Lycan Mikaelson the younger brother of Kol but older to Rebekah.  He was once a hybrid like his brother, Klaus, but his body adapted and he became the first true alpha.  He moved to beacon hills and took on a new name, and a new family.  Even had a few kids that no one but him knows about.  His new name Stiles Stilinski.
