If you've heard of The Black Rider, you know exactly what she is capable of. Destroyed ships, wounded vikings, and destruction of entire islands is just what she likes to do in her free time. 

But after a new wakening, she stops doing what she's been doing and settles down. But something caught her attention one rainy night. 

A group of dragon riders.

(This is going to be my first HTTYD work but I love the story and everything so hope you like it. It will be following the tv series ~Meli)

The dragon gently puffed frost in my face. Small, gleaming white teeth caught the snow. No matter how brilliant this dragon looked, however, I couldn't fight back the only other thought that was running through my head. But when she finds her fate caught with the Dragon Riders, secrets are uncovered about her identity, and she has to choose between fighting her father...or facing the only friends she'd ever known in battle. OLD: While I'm very proud for this being my first completed major project, it's still old as hell, several things make 0 sense and there's a lot of random convoluted stuff and little consistency, especially in characters. This was something I wrote to escape when I was down and often sleep-deprived so I just wrote what I felt like in the moment. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO ITS SEQUELS. If that isn't your thing, I wouldn't recommend this.

The only warning of attack was a quiet but sharp whistle. This dragon found Freydis in the wreckage it created. She thought that was it - she would die. Then it did something she never expected. The slits in his eyes relaxed into orbs, and he nudged her to get up with a purr in the back of his throat. He could smell her injuries and her fear, and he wanted her to get up and keep moving. Suffice it to say, Freydis and that black dragon became friends. He cared for her, and she had his back. That is, until they were shot out of the sky by a stupid Viking-want-to-be. Oh, and forgot to mention she has ice powers she can't control. Thank you, gods of Asgard. Let me tell you I took some points and tips from here and there in wattpad and Fanfiction stories of HTTYD Runaway and Runaways. GUYS ITS MY FIRST STORY I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT.
