Late nights, missions, drinking buddies. With each passing day, it became more and more obvious that maybe they fitted together a little too well.

They have always observed each other, looking from a far. They were different, that's what intrigued the slow burning interest. First it was casual glances, then slowly they worked their own way up to approach each other. The outcome of such an action was greeted with various reactions. One knew it was dangerous to do so, the other found it bothersome that people were so narrow minded. But they couldn't stay away. It was dangerous to blend their paths, but they did it anyway. A new path, one they would follow side by side.

Team Seven, Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto Uzukaze, and Shikamaru Nara. This team was trained by the most elite, so it makes sense that those three would be wanted. Follow the three as the try to stay together, recover from a broken heart, all the while mourning the death to people important to all three of them. Shikanaru. SasuNeji. Will probably be my longest story to date. I don't own Naruto or its characters. Sole ownership belongs to the creator of the anime and magna.

This is an ALTERNATE ending to my other Sasuke x reader fanfic, but you DON'T have to read the other book to understand this one. I haven't watched Boruto so the characters might be OOC.

Then they are sent on a mission to the Land of Winter to discover who is stealing medical supplies and killing off medical ninjas. As they all discover who each other really is, Sasuke uncovers some feeling he's never felt before and Naruto starts to see his friends in new ways. Strictly SasuSaku and minor NaruHina.
