After ten years, Viola Holyoake returns to the peaceful picturesque village of Fleckney Fields, the home of the large family of her ex-husband, Rhys. Since their divorce, she's received her medical degree; got re-married; built her career; gone through a second, much less dramatic divorce - and now she's ready to enjoy the quiet countryside life and medical practice that she's always dreamt of.

Thanks to the patronage of Nana Mable, the matriarch of the Holyoake family, Viola will now take the position of a partner in the local surgery, as well as a lodger of Dr. Fenton, the most prominent bachelor of the village.

Will the village of Fleckney Fields prove to be just as homely and serene as she fondly remembers it? Will Viola overcome her unwillingness to open her heart to the possibility of a new romance - or an old one, perhaps?

23 parts Ongoing Mature
Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent. If you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way. Slowburn romance.

The silent yearning

20 parts Complete Mature

Juliette never imagined she'd marry Tristan Sinclair-the man she spent a lifetime loving from afar. But when tragedy strikes, duty binds them together in a marriage neither of them chose. Once, he was the boy who unknowingly held her heart. Now, he's a man hardened by grief, distant and unreadable. Juliette wears her scars beneath long sleeves and forced smiles, while Tristan buries his behind cold indifference. In a house filled with ghosts, their silence is a war of its own. But the past has a way of creeping back in. A glimpse of old wounds. A rare crack in his armor. A touch that lingers too long. Tension simmers, coiled between resentment and something far more dangerous. And when the truth finally shatters the walls between them, love may not be enough to heal what's already broken. Some scars never fade. Some pasts refuse to stay buried. And some vows are written in pain rather than love. But maybe-just maybe-this time, they can rewrite their ending. Spoiler : not everyone get their happy ending. # Forced marriage # Slow-Burn Romance # Secret past & trauma # Strong heroine # Emotional depth # cold hero
