Petra Lockwood has loved ballroom dancing since she walked into her first class four years ago and she has grown into a beautiful dancer because of it. When she moves halfway across the country, Petra sees it as an opportunity to further her dancing. Unfortunately she encounters the same problem in her new studio, the lack of a partner. One cannot succeed in the ballroom alone and with a shortage of male dancers it seems impossible Petra will ever get her chance to shine.

Enter Julian Precium, a dark mysterious self proclaimed prince of the ballroom despite being partnerless. After one accidental dance, Petra finds herself partnered with the moody and distant Julian. But things aren't so easy, there are dangerous secrets Julian is hiding and a reason he has never had a partner. Can Petra and Julian work together in order to dance at the championship or will Julian's secrets break both their partnership and themselves?
