"Magic can do anything, right?" she asks.
"Yes." Nate raises a brow, knowing what her head is fully capable of thinking. "And I'm guessing you have another one of your ridiculous ideas in store?"
Alice blinks more than he could count. "What's wrong with raising the dead?"

Magical people ought to know that when bringing back the dead, there is a heavy price to pay. Practicing necromancy has been banned for centuries and the essence of fantasy has now degraded in the twenty first century.
Nate, a sorcerer willing to give up his family's legacy for the betterment, immediately claims the place of the top notch basketball player in his first day at his new school. As he thinks life would go well, the queen bee Alice accidentally steals a family relic. One that is too dangerous and too risky for a mere human to handle.
Knowing so, he tries to befriend Alice until he finally retrieves what is rightfully his. But what is supposed to be a meantime friendship, turns into a drastic turn of events.

Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.Complete
