She's just a girl. Just a girl who wants to live life and a world she doesn't care too much about.
Xavier's POV
I don't understand her. She wasn't like anyone I've met before and that's saying a lot. I watched as she soaked in what was left of the sunlight as the sun went down, pulling at the grass from its roots.
My whole life I've had someone try to change me or save me but her, she didn't even try. It's not that I wanted to be changed, I just didn't understand her.
"Angel face," Xavier called.
No answer as she continued to bask in the sun.
"Ellie," still no reply. "Evangeline!"
Finally she turned to look at him, "Yes Xavier?"
Xavier thought for a moment, unsure if he really wanted to speak his thoughts.
"Evangeline, you're the only person I've met that haven't tried to change me like I'm so broken puppy that needs saving, why?"
She looked away, basking in the sun once more. It seemed as if she had already knew what he was going to ask and was just waiting for it. As if shes heard this question a million times.
Finally, she sighed and turned to look at him, "I wasn't put on this Earth for my only purpose to come and save someone. I'm not a savior, it's not my job to pick up broken pieces. I just want to live."
Xavier Jones is a 19 year old trouble maker who's whole life had people trying to change him. Evangeline, Angel or Ellie, is a 18 year old just trying to experience life without any boundaries.

If she thought I was going to stay after that little performance of her , she had another thing coming. "Logan please! Don't do this . I promised your mom I would help you . Even if it means I have to sit through your insults " she said , yanking me back by my backpack. I was beyond peeved at her right now. "Who do you think you ARE little 'I'm a church girl ' !? Are you mine?
We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper.
