My Crazy Ass Friend Group
62 parts Ongoing MatureFriendship is supposed to be easy, right? Not with my friends. My name is Nate Davis, and my friend group is a complete disaster-just the way I like it. There's Aaliyah Young, the loudest and most stubborn person I know, who always has to be right even when she's obviously wrong. Her younger sister , Mj, is somehow both the chillest and most chaotic person at the same time, always caught between keeping the peace and making things worse. And then there's Marie Nardi, who pretends she's above all of our nonsense but secretly enjoys stirring the pot just as much as the rest of us. No matter what we do, somehow, we always end up in the most ridiculous fights over the dumbest things.
One time, we didn't speak for three days because Aaliyah and I argued about whether a hot dog was a sandwich. Another time, Mj almost disowned me as a friend because I said pineapple belonged on pizza, while Marie kept egging her on just to see what would happen. Don't even get me started on the Monopoly game that nearly ended our entire friendship. But the thing is, no matter how much we yell, tease, or act like we're done with each other forever, we always find our way back. Sometimes, an argument just turns into an inside joke. Other times, we have to sit in awkward silence until one of us cracks and apologizes. Either way, we always move on, because at the end of the day, these people are like family to me.
No matter how crazy things get, I wouldn't trade them for anything. They're the ones who show up when things go wrong, who know exactly how to cheer me up, and who aren't afraid to call me out when I'm being an idiot. Yeah, we fight-a lot-but that just means we care. Because if we didn't, we wouldn't bother arguing in the first place. So, sure, my friend group is a chaotic mess, but they're my chaotic mess, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
