15-year-old Walden Hawthorne and their friends, June, Rue, and Skull are all fed up with their home lives and sick of doing nothing with the few years of childhood they have left. In a last-ditch effort to add some spice to their mundane lives, Walden makes a wish on a shooting star, hoping that the lives of them and their friends will finally become more interesting. But, every action has consequences, no matter how great or small. Once Walden's wish comes true, something happens. Was it a change for better or for worse? Would their lives have been better off without what had come from the wish they made? Only time can tell. (idk why i wrote this and it will probably never get finished or continued but if you still wanna read this go for it ig...also yes the title is literally the name of an mcr song)

Jay is a bit of a misfit. In fact, if it was the 1950s, you may even call her a 'greaser' with her signature leather jacket and '78 Trans Am. She spends her days working as a drum and guitar teacher at the local music store, and her free time playing guitar in her garage band, Novus Orsa. Beneath the surface, though, she hides a secret that has nearly ruined her life once, already. You see, Jay is a closeted lesbian in a military town. Between her ultra conservative parents and the ever-swirling rumors caused by the betrayal of her ex-best friend, Jay is ready for her senior year to be over before it ever starts. On her first day, however, a chance encounter (or collision) changes the trajectory of her life. Demi is a transfer student, upset that her father's job has torn her away from the city, her boyfriend, and the life she knows. It hasn't been an easy adjustment to such a tiny, boring town, and she doesn't even have a car to get away. The first day of her senior year is going terrible, and to make matters worse, her clumsy feet have her stumbling down the stairs. Two worlds collide and what awaits her below has her reconsidering everything she thought about this town. *Note- This story takes place in 2010 and is loosely based on my own high school experience. The more I got into writing it, the more I realized how much has changed in 14 years.
