15-year-old Walden Hawthorne and their friends, June, Rue, and Skull are all fed up with their home lives and sick of doing nothing with the few years of childhood they have left. In a last-ditch effort to add some spice to their mundane lives, Walden makes a wish on a shooting star, hoping that the lives of them and their friends will finally become more interesting. But, every action has consequences, no matter how great or small. Once Walden's wish comes true, something happens. Was it a change for better or for worse? Would their lives have been better off without what had come from the wish they made? Only time can tell.
