The world has been changed by a series of massive earthquakes that no one knows the causes of. Very few people seem to be left from the rubble but a small group of people that have forged out a living on New Virginia Beach. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice.
