When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened. She would always go from her little cottage to Gran's old home by a pathway, that was eroded with weeds and daisies, so that she could deliver her mother's famous home made jam drop biscuits. Now this is a time without any cars so it was about a half an hour's walk. Yes, Red would always hear things in the forest an turn around to see who it was. No one there. So she kept walking.
