Being different is the most challenging thing a person may face. Many people are bothered by being different from other people or the society. Other people isolate themselves because they believe being different is a bad thing.
Most people are being bullied by other people because of their differences be it skin colour weight, height, and features of the body one may have. In school, other kids are bullied by others to an extent that they become depressed and others make decisions about taking their own lives.
This novel is about a village girl who started schooling in a multi-racial school. She believes she is different from other children because she was born with a birthmark on her face and she is bullied by other kids in the new school because of her birthmark.
