Kivara has been a concubine in the royal palace for the past four years and she cannot wait to complete her final year to earn her freedom. Unfortunately, she ends up in the very path that she so carefully tried to avoid. In a world where love and betrayal are two sides of the same coin, she must decide what's most important to her; her life or her freedom.

*This is my first project on here and I'm sure you can tell that it's heavily inspired by Chinese historical dramas. I wanted to create my own twist on the amazingly beautiful stories that I've come to be obsessed with in the POV of my own fictional black OC as I am not comfortable to write an entire story from an East Asian perspective.
