In November 1995 we were travelling around the North Island of New Zealand looking for the place where Tamatea who swallowed, climbed and jumped mountains, known as thick knees, played his flute to his loved one. Too eager to get there only to go back again, we suddenly found ourselves quite literally upside down in a hole. We needed a hero and he appeared in an instant; our very own Caractacus Pott. With a good dose of kindness, a roar from his tractor and a lot of endeavor, he soon got us to roll with it again, and although Tamatea was never found, our adventurous spirit was rekindled.

The Lions of the Valley - Picks up the story where we left off Steve & his team, how they wrapped up their operation and glimpses of what goes on the side of the enemy. Thank you ever so much again - Salchat, for your time and patience. Your comments, suggestions and corrections are enormously helpful. You are a wonderful person! Also a big thank you to Nika Dixon, who read through a rough draft and gave some helpful comments. If there are any mistakes left, they'd be mine.
