Hiccup haddock was a screw up. A mistake. His heir to the throne of berk was taken away and was gave to his younger sister, Saturn. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped.
