Here is an excerpt from my personal favorite story from my collection, Moonlight Murder:

"She brought the knife up to the light behind the girl's head where she couldn't see. She hesitated. The love she felt for her was so great she couldn't bear to see her when she had finished. The blade shone in the moon's intense glow. With one last silent goodbye, she pulled away from the hug."
