Luka, 'the Beast' and heir to Valennia's throne, is running out of time. As a young boy, a curse was cast upon him, one that could break his kingdom should it take full effect. He won't allow it to happen. Unfortunately, the one solution Luka was given, the one way to break the curse, his one way out, has a time limit-and he is nearly eighteen. Plus, the solution, to love and be loved, seems unattainable. Can he truly open his heart to someone else? More importantly, can he be enough for someone else's heart?

Their worlds collide as their fights begin; Luka fighting against his family's will and himself for hope, for love, and for his kingdom, Myalah fighting the status quo and the jealous nobility for herself and her father.

In fact, the more time Dal spends around the creature the less sure she is that he is a dog at all.
