My sister and I are on the road a lot. We are hunters. It's our whole life. I've been told since I was little that we don't make friends with other hunters, we don't work cases with other hunters, and we certainly don't fall in love with other hunters. Well whoever came up with that rule obviously hasn't met the Winchester boys, cause damn. Will Ellie and Morgan stick to the rules or will they fail and face the consequences?

The Miracle Within
written for the 2k18 DeanCasMiniBang Challenge. Immediately set after 13x05. The Winchesters just received the most unexpected of the calls and now their life is on the verge of undergoing another, perhaps just as radical change. After losing his mother and his best friend, Dean found himself in a very dark place, unable to share Sam's stubborn hope that Mary might be alive and refusing to mourn Castiel. He's been stuck between trying to cope with their losses, with the aid of unhealthy amounts of alcohol, and being unable to hold back his anger issues, of which Sam and Jack have become the unlucky main targets. The reunion with the angel, while, on one hand, shines a fresh ray of hope on the boys' path, on the other puts a spotlight on the mistakes made in the previous weeks and brings up issues that have been ignored and avoided for too long. Cas is determined to reconnect with Jack and try to fix the relationship between Dean and the nephilim, together with helping his best friend to heal. This assuming that he can get through the older hunter first. Because getting Dean Winchester to talk about his feelings can turn out to be as hard as stopping the umpteenth apocalypse. He was so, so close, dangerously so. I couldn't bring myself to pull back, to break eye contact. I was entranced by him. He kept me there, locked in his intense gaze. His eyes burned with something I hadn't seen ever before. Or maybe I just hadn't noticed. "Penny for your thoughts, Si?" Dean's breath fanned my face, making me pull in a breath of my own. I needed to step back before I couldn't control myself. You. But I wouldn't tell him that. I couldn't. For one, his ego did not need it. Two, I was scared.
