Anna Thomas, having been physically abused by her father for years, strains to find peace after her father's imprisonment. Anna and her mother have a new life in a distant city, with citizens who know nothing about their past. In this story, Anna would discover the keys that would open the chains that bound her and be free. But being free does it also mean loving? Will she learn how to trust, despite the beating she had to endure from her dad, no less? If you can't trust your parents, can you trust anybody? Anna embarks on a journey to seek answers to her questions of whether she is capable of loving, if someone could love her, if she can leave the past in the past and if when she becomes free, would it be a good thing. Know the answers with Anna as she experiences love, brokenness, sadness, confusion and happiness.

Kat was three years old when the fighting broke out between her parents and two years later they finally divorced. Ever since then she has lived with her father, but not by choice.
