Breath. In and out. In and out. My heart races as we slip into the empty classroom. I grab Quinn's hand and lead him through the open window. His feet hit the ground with a thud, a much less careful landing then myself. He mouths 'sorry' and we look around. The empty desks seem lonely on such a peaceful night. Out of the corner of my eye I see Quinn flip on his flashlight. I do the same. It only takes a few minutes for us to find the key for Mr Molly's desk ( of course he kept it in the top drawer). Quinn snatches the key, hands shaking. For a moment I wonder how people could've accused him of murder, he can't even break into a classroom without getting nervous. There's no way. He shines the flashlight in my eyes, telling me to focus. I push it away and flash a thin smile. He holds my gaze for a moment longer. I can see what he's asking. He's waiting for the go ahead. I nod and he turns the lock. We open to the drawer slowly. He gasps, quietly but it seems so loud in this silence. I watch him take a few steps back, hand over his mouth. I peer in the drawer. Oh my god. Mr Molly what did you do..?

(completed) When Evelyn Cruz, the youngest of the Cruz siblings, comes full circle back to an old family friend, she instantly is flooded with old memories. The Valor's have come back with business. That's all they truly cared for. The eldest son of the Valor's, Grayson, had made a promise to the Cruz siblings to never leave. That promise was broken 5 years ago. Though, the one most affected was Evelyn. He had solely set the promise from her words. He promised to not leave and cause her to become the taker of the family business she never wanted. Will she be able to forgive him? Or will they both have to live with a lost connection beyond repair? ~~~~~~~~~ I'm trying my best to not listen to his voice booming behind me. Following me. "Evelyn, please!" Grayson's footsteps are getting closer to my trail and I can't help but speed up. But no matter how hard I tried to get away from him, he caught up to me. "Evelyn-" Grayson's arm wraps around my arm and I'm tugged back, flipping around to face him. "What the fuck do you want Grayson?" My harsh voice echos in the empty, open hallway. "God, I dont know what you want me to do. I have tried everything to get you to forgive me." He takes a sharp breath when I pull a knife out of my pocket and hold it to his stomach. "You really want to know why I haven't forgiven you?" He stares down at me blankly and gives a short nod. "Because you took the one thing I hoped you would care for." I press the knife ever so slightly more into his skin, causing only a small reaction from Grayson. His jaw clenches before he speaks. "And that is?" I shake my head at how stupid he is. You would think the taker of the Valor family business would be smarter. But no. I use my free arm to grab his tie and tug on it, leaning him down. He was so close to me. I could feel his warm breath against my lips. We were only inches away. "My trust Grayson."

Dan is hungry, cold and fascinated with the girl that broke into his apartment on a Thursday night. Maybe it doesn't correlate but he becomes a criminal. --------------------------------------------------- His mouth hung open, none of his high school classes had included a 'How to Confront a Possible Intruder Lurking in Your Shadows' course. He let the world fall to the forefront of his consciousness in those seconds; the fading sirens included. The cheese dust on his tongue sat sour, he could not be sure that this intruder was not related to their loud blaring earlier in the night. He swallowed the uncertainty. The intruder spoke first and they were not even polite about it. "Do you plan on finishing those chips or can I get some to go?" The voice had a noticeable soprano lilt to it, still, she sounded rough. Regardless, Dan frowned at her tone. That and the flutter of his heart as it recognized her voice. Dan's little sister had a habit of critiquing him, not always in a constructive way either. One thing she usually mentioned that she envied was his ability to recall details well; in her words, he 'majored on the minor but it only benefitted him'. He had never disputed her but he was not sure if having perfect recollection of the voice of a girl who threatened to drown him two years ago when he had inconvenienced her - he was not sure if that would benefit him. "Whether I finish them or not, if you want some you would have to sit with me, like a respectable guest, and we can share." Maybe it was the decision of a fool - but maybe not. He saw no other option but that of anyone in a situation they were inequipped to navigate; follow his instincts. A terrible idea, really.

The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue. She then takes a shaky breath and finally looks up. Eyes locking with mine " do you even remember how you got it?" Her question hits me like a slap. I open my mouth, then close it, my brows furrowing as I force my brain to rewind. How did I get it? Nothing. Not a single clear memory. She steps closer, her voice trembling, but the edge of anger sharpening her words. "Or when? Or where? Or for what reason? Or what it even means?!" I flinch at her tone, but I can't answer her. I try. God, I try.. I look down at the sand beneath my feet, forcing myself to dig through every memory, every hazy night out, every stupid decision I might've made-but nothing. Not a single moment of how I got it surfaced. I let out a frustrated breath and rake a hand through my hair, feeling the panic rise like bile in my throat. When I finally lift my head to speak, Ashley's already staring at me, and I can tell-she knows my answer before I say a word. "You don't remember," she says softly, nodding like she expected it all along. __________________________________________ Crazy thing happened...Three years ago, a tragic accident left Ashley scarred and shattered. Aiden survived, but when he woke from a year-long coma, every memory of the girl he loved was gone.
