This is a Barchie story will include fictional scenarios after the events that occurred in 5x08. I know the ending of this episode was so disappointing so I am here to try to mend broken hearts like mine. Here is the Barchie storyline that we all deserve. We've patiently waited for far too long and since the writers can't give us the content we barchies deserve, I'll try my best to give it to you all. (book written March 2021-Nov 2021) (p.s: I wrote this story right after the premiere of the 8th episode, so this story is very different from the second half of the season, since at the time I was developing this story, Riverdale was on a three month hiatus and season five did not end until October). •••••••• "Betty. AU in which Betty grew up with her abusive parents Alice and Hal cooper. Her brother and sister abandoned her. When she's 10 she decides to learn self defence, boxing and weapons training secretly to protect herself however she doesn't have the strength to stand up to her parents at such a young age. When they die tragically a few years later Betty is taken by social services and moved from foster home to foster home many of which abused her or worse. At 15 she finally managed to find some relatives that were nice and were willing to take her in. The blossoms. She meets new friends and old ones and a secret brother she knew nothing about, however no-one knows about her past except the fact that it was traumatising or the fact that she is badass that is the strongest person both physically and mentally and doesn't need protection. Will all come to light when she is kidnapped the night of her initiation to become Serpent Queen? She yearned for a family and turned to the serpents. Although when the leader of the serpents, Fp, announces he has a son, Veronica's life unravels. Not only that, but his son is no other than Jughead Jones. No one except for Toni and Cheryl know the long ties Veronica and Jughead share. Jughead has changed Veronica, but maybe not for the better. She has a dark yet very vulnerable side, that only Jughead brings out. But there's a certain darkness that Jughead has- unlike any other. She turned back to him with a smile, removing her sunglasses. For a moment he was taken aback by the startling green color of her eyes, but he calmed himself quickly. "I know where the city is, but thank you." She dropped the sunglasses into her purse and it was the first time he realized a bag of luggage beside her feet. "I need somewhere to stay until the storm passes." His line of vision followed her hand as she pointed up at the sky and he winced a little. Betty hated fighting too, but she only starts arguments because she's stressed all the time. Jughead just needs time to himself, but whenever Betty apologizes he can't help but forgive her. Then they have make-up sex afterward. Veronica and Archie on the other hand they are really close, that is until Veronica's father decided to frame Archie for a murder he didn't do. Veronica got really mad and upset with her father. Reggie is always trying to ask her out. She always rejects him. She just needed a friend to help her through this and Betty was too busy with whatever she was doing But what happens after Jughead finds an upset Veronica? How will this affect their friendship? Will they learn to get along with each other? OR will they stay how they used to be, Frenemies, and only talk to each other when needed? How will everything play out? Good?
