"What do you want me to do about this?" he asked, making me narrow my eyes at his question yet I willed myself to remain respectful. Pleasant. Docile. "Maybe you could tell them that I didn't kill him." That you did, was what I wanted to add but I refrained myself from doing so. No need to say it at this stage; we both knew what he did. Derek leaned in closer to me this time, both his elbows on the table with his arms still crossed in front of him and his eyes fixed intently on mine. If I wasn't currently running on about fifteen hours of sleep across the entire week, I would've been ready to swear that the slight quirk of his lips was an amused smirk but at this stage, I couldn't really tell my hallucinations from my reality. The only reason I still believed that I was actually being stalked and not just paranoid was because the letters were there to prove it. "And if that doesn't work, Morgana," he said, calling me that stupid name again yet I couldn't bring myself to correct him for it. Something about the way he held my gaze made me feel like I shouldn't look away; like I shouldn't interrupt. "What should I do then? What do you want me to do?" His game hadn't been obvious to me at first - I didn't know he was playing one - but now, it was as clear as day. The bastard wanted me to ask him to kill them. The one thing that made me wary of him; that made me dislike him. The one thing I was absolutely terrified of him for and here I was asking him to do it for me anyway. The hypocrisy. I held his gaze for as long as I could bring myself to, hoping he would back down but he was relentless. At my silence, the curve in his lips only deepened until his smirk was too obvious to deny. "Do whatever you need to do," I said with a deep sigh as I buried my head in my hands in defeat. "Just make them leave me alone. Please." *** Full synopsis inside.

Please put your mental health first) summery: I felt eyes on me... it was just like clock work. There was a long pause despite the loud music, and the feeling only amplified as I decided to ignore it. "You seem out of place here..." His voice was low muffled by a cigarette he held to his lips. But I could still hear his voice rise over the music. "I've been to a night club before." I turned my head to look at the man who spoke, his green eyes had a trace of amusement once he recognized I finally addressed him. I leaned against the bar and sipped my drink. The taste of the alcohol washed over my tongue, it was strong but I managed the sip with ease. "You seem out of place, in general. A lot on your mind?" the low voice asked however it sounded more like a demand. "Isn't that what the bartender is for?" I look away from him, as I down my drink. "I'd hate to spew all my problems on to a man who is trying to enjoy his night." I continued as I kept my eyes forward. But I saw in the corner of my eye, his hand lifted and he snapped his fingers. Soon another drink was being poured in my glass despite the many asking for first rounds. I glance over at the man who has not let his eyes falter from my face. It was the man in the rain... "I'm better than the bartender." I watched him raise his glass and take a sip before adding. "I'm the boss."
