There was an opening as a Junior Deputy, and he knew that his big sister was begging to get back to the small town she moved away from when she was 18. The job was practically handed to her as she had just left a job working in Dade County, Georgia, and was a highly sought after officer, given her record. Tasked with the take down of the suspected 'doomsday cult' known as the Project at Eden's Gate, Charlie was joining Staci Pratt, Joey Hudson, Earl Whitehorse and US Marshall Cameron Burke in the arrest and capture of one Joseph Seed in an attempt to dismantle the cult and their suspicious activities. When all hell breaks loose, will Charlie be the catalyst in ending the cult? (Alternate universe. Though it was unexpected when Cecelia was travelling through the state with her sister, and they were both seperated by the cult. After being rescued by the Whitetails Militia from a room where several people have been sitting in their own filfth for days, Cecelia's only desire is to find her sister. With help from the Militia and their leader Eli Palmer, Cecelia treks through the Whitetail's mountains for one purpose. To find her sister. Though that was the mission... ||| EXCLAIMER: this is a novella therefore the total word count should be around 20,000 words and is therefore not a huge story/book. Most girls knew hunting, fishing, trapping - all the things a good Pa would show his baby girl to keep her safe in this unforgiving terrain. The arrival of the Seed family brought a new path to supposed salvation for the people of Hope County. Though the first few years were peaceful, things began shifting over the last few years, and with it came unforgivable pain they inflicted on the region and its people. Andi kept her head down for the most part, partially of her own volition and because others figured she could be kept safe if she didn't know the details of what had been happening around Hope County. But once things were seen that couldn't be unseen, Andi knew she couldn't sit around like a wounded deer waiting for the inevitable to come. The Seeds knew that the deputy would be trouble as soon as she landed in Hope County, no matter how innocent she looked. Yet when John first laid his eyes on her, something twisted inside of him and he knew that she would be different but couldn't begin to explain why. The deputy was forced into being Hope County's hero and the leader of a resistance against a doomsday cult but even she knew that something wasn't right when she first saw the blue eyes of the baptist. How can two people who are so different, both be so broken. Perhaps, devotion doesn't have to make sense... On going.
