After his mother died, Blaze lost himself in a river of anger, frustration and sadness, questioning all his life decisions. She would've loved to see him marry a sweet woman, maybe have grandchildren, even though she always knew her son was a lone wolf. Now it was too late, he couldn't give her any of that anymore. He had failed her, was in prison instead of with her when she died. One night he lost it, a guy who provoked him in a bar got to feel his full anger until he could hardly breathe anymore; that's when Blaze knew he had to get out of town.
He found himself weeks later deep in the mud, back in Tacoma, where he was born and raised, on the streets instead of in Chino with his club, wavering about which drug to choose today. Between all the drugs, there wasn't much left that could bring him peaceᅳ until he met Harlow, his best friend's sister.
But his club hadn't given up the search for their most loyal member and, after finding him beaten up and with a needle in his arm, they brought him back to Chino, Californiaᅳ but Blaze only wanted one thing, to be back with the woman who had given him hope again.
